Business Drivers
Statewide Insurance needed to upgrade its AS400 Mainframe
System.
Statewide Insurance, a provider of insurance products
for Oklahoma residents and business, required a significant
technology refresh without disrupting the production environment.
The company was running an AS400 Mainframe System with
twenty-five to thirty local PC’s and 3270 Type Terminals.
Statewide was experiencing problems with system stability,
performance, daily outages, limited disk space and software
issues.
In addition, the month-end close procedure took approximately
thirty hours to run which restricted system use.
IT Environment and Challenges
Statewide Insurance selects Sebring as it’s single
source IT solution.
The Strategic IT MaximizerTM Analysis indicated that Statewide
did not have the internal expertise to perform the upgrade.
Statewide engaged Sebring through an outsourcing agreement.
The upgrade would include enhancement of the current IT
staff including the replacement of an AS400 Contractor
and a System Administrator with two AS400/RPG Programmers,
cleaning up the software, stabilizing and balancing the
systems.
Solutions
Sebring Systems successfully upgraded Statewide’s
IT environment.
The project was completed by Sebring in the following
